Management Analysts conduct a variety of studies, research and analysis of management and administrative areas such as budgeting and financial analysis; departmental operations; legislative analysis; management research; and statistical and informational analysis.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.
This recruitment will be used to underfill a Management Analyst 3. Automatic progression may occur upon the supervisor's approval and when minimum qualifications of the higher level have been met.
This position is being offered by the Department of Administration, Purchasing Division, in Carson City, Nevada. The Purchasing Division Central Contract Unit is responsible for ensuring contracts are consistent and are in accordance with applicable State and federal laws, regulations, and applicable policies and principles of sound fiscal management. This position will be responsible for reviewing and managing statewide contracts and programs while engaging with internal and external stakeholders; establishing & managing a compliance review schedule & communication of results to appropriate stakeholders; and conducting analysis of compliance review findings to determine appropriate adjustments to training and procedures.
This position will coordinate communications and outreach activities related to Statewide Contracts with internal and external stakeholders. In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, finance, social sciences, mathematics or related field and two years of professional experience in the research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures; OR one year of experience as a Management Analyst I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience on a year-for-year basis. Special Notes Without the required Bachelor's degree this position would require 6 years of experience, 2 years of paraprofessional experience and 4 years that were at the professional level performing research, development, evaluation or revision of programs, organizations, methods or procedures. Special Requirements Requires a valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment.
