University Behavioral Center is seeking Mental Health Technicians (MHT's) to provide direct care in an atmosphere that provides for the personal care and comfort of our clients. This is a full time position (3:00pm-11:00pm) . Applicants are required to have previous psychiatric/behavioral direct care experience with residential or inpatient populations. University Behavioral Center has been a leading regional provider of intensive mental health services to severely troubled individuals for over 20 years.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING AS A MENTAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN IS REQUIRED.

  • Ensure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear, accurate and legible.

  • Keep clinical records secure at all times.

  • Accept constructive criticism and utilize supervision and feedback for professional growth.

  • Address problems noted by supervisor.

  • Communicate any and all urgent matters with your immediate supervisor.

  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibility.

  • Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs.

  • Function well as a team member and contribute positively to the team and organization.

  • Maintain good communication, both written and verbal.

  • Assist nurses during intake as well as taking vital signs and weights. Notify nurse of any abnormalities.

  • May provide for transportation of patients.

Job Requirements

Education:

High School Diploma combined with experience in the field. Associates or Bachelors in related field a plus!!!

Essential Functions * Observes Orlando Health protocols, policies, and procedures to obtain, return, and exchange product. * Responsible for the assessment, forecasting, and restocking of surgical inventory. * Reports variances and fluctuations in par levels of supplies to Materials Supply Manager and Surgical Service-line Specialist. * Communicates with all levels of the surgical team with special emphasis on working with Service-line Specialist to resolve supply issues, special needs, and re-establishing par levels or product mix on shelves or specialty carts. * Utilizes Materials Management software system to acquire and refill requisitions. * Physically receives product and verifies description and quantity received with packing slips. * Utilizes Materials Management process for reconciliation of supplies borrowed by departments and sites outside of site specific surgery supply department. * Determines and facilitates purchase of substitute product when necessary. * Opens boxed product and restocks inventory area promptly after delivery. * Reports any variables from established par levels. * Maintains the cleanliness and order of inventory areas including shelving, carts, and bins. * Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. * Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
