What you'll do:
Maintain a structured, therapeutic environment that addresses the age, developmental and psychological needs of the patient and includes individual time with assigned patients and conducting psychoeducation and other group activities per the unit schedule.
Assists with OP admission, transfer, and discharge procedures.
Participate in the care needs of all IP as requested or directed by Unit RN
Vital signed (TPR and BP)
Lifting and moving patients
What you'll need for this job:
Required: Level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of two (2) years of college with course work in psychology or a related field preferred of the equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Strongly preferred
Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: minimum of two (2) years Inpatient Psych experience
Required: Current CPR Certification
Preferred: CPI certification, addictions training/certification
Other: May be required to complete phlebotomy training before starting work
