Our UT Health Behavioral Health Center hospital is seeking an experienced Mental Health Tech. We are looking for your experience, knowledge and patient care skills in our Behavioral Health Center where you will be responsible for:
What You Will Be Doing:
Provides direct patient care as assigned by the charge nurse
Uses specific skills in working with age specific populations of patients
Effective in stressful situations and able to maintain an orderly environment
Functions as an effective team member under the direction of the RN in the multidisciplinary team
Conducts their assignments and conduct themselves in a courteous, caring and professional manner
So what experience are we looking for in our Mental Health Techs?
Two or more years college credit in a human service field or the equivalency in experience
Previous experience preferred
Practice in a Psychiatric Hospital setting is preferred
Certified Nursing Aid preferred
CPR and PMAB required
