Counsel with emphasis on prevention. Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and emotional health. May help individuals deal with issues associated with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; stress management, behavior, learning, and mood disorders.
Salary Range $35,568 - $44,400 - Salary may be increased based off education, experience, and internal equity. Salary Type Salary Time Type Full-Time Work Location MU
Qualifications
Must be able to perform all essential job duties as outlined in the job description.
Required Qualifications
Education
Masters degree in a clinical human services field- counseling, psychology, or social work.
Experience
One year of experience providing counseling/therapy in the behavioral/mental health field. Internship experience does count towards the one-year requirement. The committee will accept graduate assistant experience that consisted of providing individual or group counseling as internship experience.
Eligible for a temporary license/permit through one of the behavioral/mental health service boards in West Virginia.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Previous NCAA collegiate athlete and/or experience working in the field of athletics and sports. Full independent state licensure preferred.
