About the Position

Lane County Behavioral Health (LCBH) is looking for a highly trained Mental Health Clinician to fill the role of a clinician on our Forensic Intensive Treatment Team (FITT). This position involves working on a team of behavioral health professionals providing both in-reach and outreach to clients across Lane County. The clinician will provide street-based behavioral health screenings, assessment, short-term treatment, and care coordination to individuals referred by law enforcement, the court system and community members.

The clinician is part of the Forensic Intensive Treatment Team (FITT) that includes behavioral health clinicians, peer support specialists, case managers, nurse practitioner, office assistant, and a clinical supervisor.

For this recruitment we are looking for individuals with a passion to serve people with complex behavioral health needs across Lane County. The right candidate will possess the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with Law Enforcement, Citizens, and Community Partners to ensure the individuals we serve have access to high-quality and effective behavioral health treatment.

About the Division

Lane County Behavioral Health provides services to more than 1,600 individuals with behavioral health conditions. We work with community partners to provide a continuum of care from prevention through treatment and aftercare in an environment that promotes a culture of resilience and recovery.

Schedule: Monday

  • Friday; 8:00am

  • 5:00pm

Mental Health Specialist 1 Training & Experience:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work or a related field.

  • One year of some experience working directly with mentally or emotionally disturbed clients in the provision of behavioral health services is highly desirable.

Mental Health Specialist 2 Training & Experience:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a mental health field, psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field.

  • Two years of responsible professional mental health experience, including one year of experience specific to the program or area of assignment.

An equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

  • For MHS1 - QMHP Certification or enrolled as Clinical Social Work Associate, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate

  • For MHS2 - Oregon Health Licensure required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
