Mental Health Screener (Full-Time, Day) - Parsippany, NJ

Job Summary:

Our statewide clinical outreach for the Elderly S-COPE Program looks to promote the most efficient use of acute care services and long-term psychiatric services for our clients. In collaboration with the facilities we interface with, the goal is to develop expertise in promoting the quality of life, wellness, and dignity of each resident.

As an S-COPE Clinician, the objective is to equip the staff of the residential facilities with tools to effectively manage behavioral issues in place.

The role of the MA Clinician is to provide education to screening centers, psychiatric inpatient units, and long-term care settings on how to access services.

Duties include:

• Face-to-face on-site assessment and phone consultation

• Professional consultation

• Recommendations regarding the level of support

• Treatment and case-specific intervention

• Assessment of older adults to clarify diagnosis and assist with treatment planning

Job Requirements:

• Masters in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology

• On-Call Component to work Monday-Sunday on a monthly and as-needed schedule

• Monday-Friday 4:30PM-8:30PM, Saturday and Sunday 8:30AM-6:30PM
