This position is located at the Lexington County Community Mental Health Center Batesburg-Leesville Clinic located at:

119A Malibu Drive

Batesburg-Leesville, SC 29006

Job Responsibilities:

Under general supervision of the Director, oversee the daily operations and services for the Batesburg-Leesville Clinic.

  • Oversees the administrative operations of the clinic.

  • Provides clinical oversight of services ensuring patients are seen in accordance with their needs and the delivery of best and ethical practices.

  • Ensures efficiency in clinic operations to maximize services available for patients. Supports clinical staff in meeting their patient care hours expectations.

  • Provides direct services for patients and maintains a small caseload.

  • Ensures services are documented in accordance with SCDMH/QA requirements.

  • Provides direct supervision to include but not limited to: facilitating clinical supervision meetings, treatment team meetings, coordinating training for team and completing evaluations.

  • Ensures a department commitment to cultural affairs and ensures all direct reports have a cultural affairs component to his or her planning document as a measurable objective.

  • Complies with Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan and ensures timely completion of prior authorizations.

  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with school district staff. Provides community outreach and participates in anti-stigma events.

  • Pursues professional development through collegial consultation, continuing education and licensure.

  • Performs other duties as needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirements:

A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience and minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience.

  • Professional licensure through SC LLR

  • Practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of serious and persistent mental illness.

  • Ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.

  • Knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, family and group psychotherapy.

  • Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families,

and representatives of other professional disciplines.

  • Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.

  • Ability to organize and manage time.

  • A high degree of independence, self-motivation will be expected.

  • Position will receive supervision from assigned supervisor.

  • Employee's activities are governed by SCDMH and Center policies and procedures.

  • Ability to lift 5lbs and operate a state vehicle.

  • Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies.

  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
