As a Mental Health Professional in our Day Treatment Program you will provide therapeutic services to Day Treatment clients. Our Day Treatment Program serves youth, Kindergarten to 12th grade, who either live in the community or reside in a residential setting. Our program provides year-round programming (5 days a week) which includes: Treatment Groups, Psycho-Educational Groups, Individual counseling, Family counseling, Multi-family groups, and Individualized support in the classroom setting. Our program utilizes a structured environment concentrating on strengths, skill building, and problem solving through group milieu and individual intervention. We provide interventions that address the reduction of mental health symptoms, the improvement of behavioral functioning, increased coping and relational skills, and an enhanced ability to function in an educational and community setting.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualified Professional credential which includes: Master degree in a human services or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of one year supervised clinical experience working with children and families; or Bachelor degree in a human services or related field from an accredited college or university with two years post-graduate experience working with children and adolescents.
Possesses a basic understanding of the developmental needs of children and exhibits an understanding of therapeutic group dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to use sound discretion and independent judgment in developing and implementing decisions.
Demonstrated knowledge of cultural issues that can affect treatment. Able to operate well in crisis situations.
Able to work well with others within a team structure and is flexible in the work setting.
Physical adeptness to perform all job duties.
Bi-lingual skills a plus (Spanish).
Demonstrated proficiency in the use of a variety of computer software programs. Professional (written and verbal) communication skills, and excellent organizational skills.
