Under direct supervision of the regional mental health administrator, serves as the regional lead MHP II for Perry, McCormick & Tyger River.
Will work closely with the regional manager, operations, medical and other institutional staff.
Provides programmatic and clinical supervision of mental health services staff.
Works with the chief of psychiatry to ensure appropriate coverage is provided within the assigned institutions.
Act as liaison between entities both in and out of SCDC and other agencies.
Coordinates and monitors institutional training, perform internal audits, and conduct group therapy and maintain/ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
Ensures on-call and institutional schedules are current, providing back-up as needed.
Ensure continuity of care and the needs of the mentally ill are met.
Complete special projects as assigned.
$56,689.00 - LMSW or LPC-I/A
$60,996.00 - LPC, LISW, LMFT, or LPCS
Must successfully complete eight (8) week SCDC Basic Training upon hire.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A Master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in a mental health, human service or social service program. (Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).
SCDC Minimum Requirements:
A Master's degree in social work, counseling, or other social science. Must be licensed or license eligible as an LPC-A, LPC, LPC-S, LMSW, LICSW or LMFT. At least one (1) year of experience in the delivery of licensed mental health services, with 2 or more years' experience preferred. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
