Job Responsibilities
With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Catawba Community Mental Health Center (CCMHC), Catawba Family Center, 448 Lakeshore Parkway, NorthLake II, Rock Hill, SC 29730
Under the supervision of the Clinic Director, employee will provide therapeutic and emergency services to targeted population of patients within the Catawba catchment area. Will also ensure frequent interaction with other community agencies and maintain positive professional relationships.
Responsibilities for this Position Title include but are not limited to:
Provide medically necessary clinical services, including but not limited to, assessment, individual, family & group therapy & crisis intervention services to a targeted population. Services may be provided in the clinic, in the client's home, or other community setting.
Directly interacts and assess walk-in and triage appointments, ensuring that Center access standards are met.
Responsible for case management services for assigned caseload. These services include referrals, advocacy, interagency staffings, and coordinating care between agencies/service providers as appropriate.
Formulate recovery-based plans of care with person centered goals and objectives. Conduct timely reviews and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Attend and participate in Treatment Team meetings/staffings, including staffing with MD at CCMHC. Pursue continuing education and training. Maintain positive professional relationships with MHC staff, and community agencies, as well as clients and their families. Work to overcome the stigma of mental illness and mental health services by providing education, training, and support services to the community at large.
For MHP Student Loan Repayment:
This position MAY be eligible for SCDMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
A Master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Additional Comments
Employee must maintain a valid driver's license.
