Job Responsibilities

This position is located at Department of Mental Health/Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Special Operations, CAMHC #070.

Under limited supervision, performs advanced clinical services in the Veterans/1st Responders Program, including but not limited to assessments, crisis intervention, individual therapy to a caseload of adults referred due to stress on the job, and personal situations in law enforcement or in the military.

Provides clinical services to promote recovery, stabilization, and independence based on the patient's needs/assigned level of care and plan of care. Performs the function of this position in an efficient manner as evidenced by staff meeting, patient care hour expectations as addressed in the Patient Care Hour Protocol for the months included in this rating period.

Ensures that the plan for treatment addresses the patient's identified needs and is regularly amended/updated. Documentation is reflective of the quality care expected to include collaborative documentation (CD) /timely record keeping. Demonstrates recognition of the importance of collaboration and teamwork within the community including interaction with peers and involvement in 1st responder meetings.

Ensures patient functionality is measured by the DLA20. Retains overall responsibility for meeting Quality Assurance and CARF guidelines. Shall attend to and, when necessary, respond to telephone messages, emails, Microsoft Teams messages and inter-office mail.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and a professional license, i.e. LISW, LISW-CP, LPC, LPC-S, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

CAMHC Prefers: Three (3) or more years of post master's experience providing services to 1st Responders/Veterans.
