Job Responsibilities

This position is located at Department of Mental Health/Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Behavior Therapy Program, CAMHC #053.

Under general supervision, provides an array of clinical services to promote recovery, stabilization, and independence based on patient's needs and plan of care.

Collects, organizes, and records data and information in each patient's medical records according to quality assurance standards, CARF guidelines and corporate compliance standards.

Provides group therapy services to patients, either skills training or support process group.

Participates in team meetings with clinical staff, provides input on patient's needs, presents assessments and discusses methods of service delivery. Performs administrative functions including maintenance of medical records in accordance with QA standards.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Agency Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and licensed as a licensed psychologist, LISW, LPC or LMFT.

Note: If any Agency Requirements are listed, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

CAMHC Prefers:

A master's degree and one (1) year of post master's counseling experience.

Knowledge in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and completion of intensive training, experience with individual and group therapy, as well as knowledge of cognitive behavioral techniques.
