Job Responsibilities
This position is located at Department of Mental Health/Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Midlands Crisis Stabilization Center (MCSC), CAMHC #007.
Under limited supervision, provides quality person centered care as demonstrated by the use of evidenced-based clinical interventions. Complies with all SCDMH/CAMHC policies and protocols, applicable Quality Assurance, Corporate Compliance, Cultural Competence, and CARF policies, procedures, guidelines and regulations.
Compliance with all Federal and State laws. Provides direct services to adults as credentialed by the Mental Health Center in an efficient manner and compliance with productivity standards.
Collects, organizes, and records data and information for medical records in accordance with QI guidelines that is reflective of quality client care. Provides clients centered services as demonstrated on the client plan of care (POC) developed with the client and prior authorizations are accurate, timely and ensures patients/guardians sign their POCs.
Demonstrates recognition of importance of collaboration and team work within the Mental Health Center and community. Attend all trainings classified mandatory by Federal and State regulations and Center policy.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
Working knowledge of mental health legal principles and practices, ability to document and provide evidence based clinical services to individuals in crisis.
This position will serve residents of Richland, Lexington and Fairfield Counties.
Preferred Qualifications
Agency Prefers:
A master's degree in guidance, counseling or the social sciences and one (1) year or more of post graduate counseling experience of which must have been in a clinical setting. Licensure preferred; licensure supervision available.
