With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
Provides 860 patient care hours annually.
Ensures patients are seen in accordance with their needs.
Completes clinical documentation using collaborative documentation.
Ensures patient functionality is measured by the DLA-20.
Participates in clinical supervision, treatment team meetings, pursues professional development, and demonstrates effective use of social and interpersonal knowledge and skills. This includes interacting with school personnel and participating in PR activities at the school (Back to School events, etc) to educate about mental health services.
Reviews caseload weekly for timely discharges, engagement, transition, and follow-up.
Completes documentation according to QA/SCDMH standards, complies with Corporate Compliance policy and Risk Management plan, and ensures timely completion of prior authorizations.
Performs other duties as needed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirements:
Agency (Facility) Preferences:
One (1) year of post-graduate experience providing counseling/treatment.
Practical therapeutic knowledge of principles, methods and counseling practices and procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of behavioral and mental disorders.
Ability to listen and understand and communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
Knowledge of psychopathology, family dynamics, family and group psychotherapy.
Ability to identify and effectively utilize resources available in the community to accomplish objectives.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals, families and representatives of other professional disciplines.
Ability to present clear and comprehensive oral and written reports.
Ability to lift 5 pounds and drive a state vehicle.
This position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies.
