PROGRAM: Outpatient Programs
ROLE TYPE: Part-Time
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Mental Health Professional (MHP) is responsible for direct therapy with clients enrolled in The Center for Autism's Outpatient Programs which include Social Competency, STEP, and/or outpatient therapy services.
PROGRAM HOURS: The Social Competency program runs Monday through Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 P.M. Work may be split as Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday. Hours for the STEP program are on Saturdays from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. Outpatient therapy service hours vary. Total work hours are capped at a maximum of 20 hours per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide individual, family, or group sessions for clients engaged in outpatient programming.
Plan and lead sessions/activities for clients appropriate to developmental level and clinical needs.
Demonstrate initiative and responsibility for pursuing therapeutic resources for clients in accordance with The Center for Autism's mission statement.
Supervise clients to ensure safety.
Complete incident/injury reports.
Participate in team meetings as needed.
Continuously assess the effectiveness of treatment interventions.
Implement the Center for Autism's clinical philosophy by emphasizing the importance of individualized assessment and treatment planning.
Complete all relevant documentation.
Maintain effectiveness in response to various situational demands.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Employee must have the physical ability to lift clients and supplies.
Employee must have the physical ability to play on the floor and run with/after clients.
Employee must have access to personal transportation.
Employee must have the ability to access all areas of the service area of The Center for Autism.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must meet one of the following qualifications:
Have a master's degree from an accredited program in an area of human services including but not limited to social work, psychology, counseling, or marriage and family therapy and have 1+ years of direct care experience or supervised practice
Have one of the following clinical licenses in the state of Pennsylvania: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT)
