Mental Health Practitioner
People Incorporated is seeking Mental Health Practitioner's to join the team at our short & long-term residential treatment program, Steiner-Kelting Mental Health Wellness Center. This wellness program integrates mental health and substance use care in a short and long-term residential setting. These services help individuals who are experiencing a mental health crisis or acute mental health.
Hiring bonus of $1,000 for external candidates
Shift: Full-time & Part-time 4:00pm-12:30am & 12:00am-8:30am
Locations: Steiner-Kelting Wellness Center in Chaska, MN
Hiring Range: $21.00-$25.00/hour - Depending on education and experience. $2.00/hr shift differential for the evening & overnight!

Required Qualifications:

OR
Has completed 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in behavioral science or a related field and:
Has proof of a practicum or internship that requires direct interaction with adults or children served and is focused on behavioral sciences or related fields; OR
Has 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness; OR
Has 2,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with traumatic brain injury or developmental disabilities and completes training on mental illness, mental health de-escalation techniques, co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse, and psychotropic medications and side effects; OR
Is fluent in the non-English language of the cultural group to which 50% of the practitioner's clients belong;

Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in a behavioral science/related field and:
Proof of 4,000 hours of supervised experience in the delivery of services to people with mental illness
Main Job Duties:
Provide and model crisis intervention and de-escalation for clients experiencing mental health symptoms or other emotional and/or behavioral responses while prioritizing client and program safety.
Using and modeling person-centered principles, actively engage clients in their mental health recovery, and develop and maintain appropriate relationships that support the client in meeting their individual goals
Conduct assessments and treatment plans, plan-of-care reviews and discharge plans as needed or directed. Train on preparing assessment and treatment plans, if applicable.
Document interactions and interventions with clients, according to program requirements, into the organization's Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or record-keeping system.
Coordination of services through the recognition of the multiple needs of the client, with other providers in the community, to provide necessary resources to the client.
Assist with completing necessary client intake and admission paperwork and providing program orientation, if applicable
