The Mental Health Practitioner position for Hovander House is responsible for maintaining the safety and welfare of program clients, providing daily rehabilitation interventions, participating in clinical supervision and meeting all annual training requirements. Hovander House is a short-term residential living facility for patients who are clinically and physically stable, and need further support and assistance in returning to their community.


Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the behavioral sciences or related field from an accredited college or university with 2000 hours of verifiable supervised work experience in the delivery of services to Serious and Persistent Mentally Ill (SPMI) patients.


Associate's Degree with at least 6,000 hours of supervised work experience in the delivery of services to Serious and Persistent Mentally Ill (SPMI) patients

Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Pass Certified Medication Administration (training provided)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

The Wilder Foundation School-Based Mental Health Program is recruiting a Mental Health Professional (LICSW, LMFT or LPCC) or Mental Health Practitioner working towards MH licensure (supervision towards licensure will be provided) to provide diagnostic assessments, individual and family therapy in a school-based setting, with occasional home-based treatment for children and their families. Clients served are from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds: the caseload of students at these sites will primarily be students and families of African descent. The ideal candidate should have a passion for working with children/youth and their families, and will be part of a multi-disciplinary team of mental health providers working to increase children and families' sense of hope, resilience and well-being. We are part of a Rule 29 Clinic and candidates must maintain clinical, billing and other required documentation per agency guidelines. The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, with some evenings. A valid driver's license and clean driving record to transport is required. Candidates of color are strongly encouraged to apply. Job Qualifications Licensed Mental Health Professional. OR Licensed Mental Health Practitioner - Master's Degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or Clinical Counseling with a minimum 1 year of related mental health experience. MN LGSW, LISW working towards LICSW level license; LAMFT or MFT degree working towards LMFT license; or LPC working towards an LPCC or mental health degreed working towards LPCC license.
