SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The candidate will receive training and clinical supervision that will count towards LCSW/LPC examination qualification.

The Academic Practice Division of Penn State Health seeks a full-time, mental health intern. The Internship program is a two-year (24 month) clinical program designed to provide post master's candidates education and clinical training while gaining supervised clinical hours to become licensed eligible towards LCSW/LPC. As part of their training, the candidate will provide direct clinical care to a diverse population of individuals, families and groups consisting of care assessments, therapy and consultation under the supervision of a licensed supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

• A Master's degree in Social Work or related discipline is required.

• Minimum one (1) year of experience in the treatment of psychiatric patients.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

• Preference is given to candidates who have experience in the mental health field.

• Experience with conducting individual therapy sessions.
