  • Current PA licensure in Professional Counseling

  • MA degree in Professional Counseling

  • Experience working in school programs or with pediatric populations is preferred

  • Proficient in educational remediation strategies and individual counseling techniques.

  • Follow IEP to reach children's short term and long term goals

  • Complete and maintain session notes, progress reports, annuals, and billing entries as required

  • Collaborate with other therapists, teachers, and parents on intervention strategies

  • Administer exercises, technology, and tests to help child improve in the school environment

  • Help children integrate with Play/ recess and other social school activities

  • Ability to effectively communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents

  • Ensure all services are performed in accordance with state laws and regulations

VIEW JOBS 12/1/2018 11:36:06 PM 2019-03-01T23:36 <p><strong>DESCRIPTION:</strong><br /> Master's level <strong>Mental Health Professional</strong> will be tasked with providing individual, family, and/or group therapeutic counseling/interventions to members and their families within outpatient settings, on a daily basis. MHP will serve as the primary clinician on treatment team providing service in the community, working to avert the need for referral to a higher level of care or to a more restrictive setting. MHP will manage and facilitate a weekly therapeutic group during the academic year and daily therapeutic group during the summer. MHP will function as liaison to placement agencies, schools, and foster homes on behalf of agency. MHP services range from assessing and building a shared understanding of the needs and strengths of the family system to individual and family treatment, oriented toward resolving underlying conflicts and building functional skills. MHP is responsible for completion of required documentation and maintenance of clinical records including treatment planning, updates, progress notes and discharges etc., in accordance with accreditation and licensing standards, manage care expectations and agency policy and procedures.<br />  </p> <p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Masters in a human service/social science field</li> </ul> <ul> <li>(Preferred but not required) Licensed Mental Health Professional or a Masters Degree with Clinical or Mental Health Concentration</li> </ul> <ul> <li>At least two years of clinical experience in a child or adolescent behavioral health setting.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Demonstrate understanding of cultural competence</li> </ul> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:</strong> (and other duties as assigned)</p> <p>Must demonstrate genuine empathy and concern for individuals as indicated in our corporate vision, mission, and values statements.
