Specific characteristics of the Site: Milpitas Unified School District serves approximately 10,200 students in grades K-12.

There are 10 elementary schools, two middle schools, and two high schools. Approximately 25% of students are English Language Learners. The student population is predominantly Asian, Hispanic or Latino, and Filipino.

Site description: Middle and High School (various site options available) 5 days per week Description of tasks and duties the student may expect to engage in:

Case management Provide individual and/or group counseling (social skills, self-regulation, anger management, friendship building, etc.) Data collection Create goals and communicate progress on goals Maintain counseling notes and logs Consult with School Teams as needed (i.e. Student Study Team, Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports Team) Provide teacher consultation regarding social-emotional and behavioral needs Provide collateral support with parent and other relevant entities Attend school based trainings and professional development trainings Provide parent trainings/workshops Special projects (college & career day, psycho-educational classroom lessons, etc.) Crisis intervention and mandated reporting as necessary Provide leadership and guidance to student therapists Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons

Applicant requirements or expectations: Current associate number through the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences (0r have applied within the 90 day timeframe) OR Current licensed number through the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences Independently fulfill professional duties with limited supervision/shadowing Weekly supervision is typically 1 hour triadic and 2 hours of group in accordance with Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements Previous experience in a public school setting (preferred) Commit to a full school calendar year August through June (part-time or full-time)
