Job Title:
(On Call) Mental Health Clinician / Therapist
Division/Program:
(Children/Youth Inpatient)
Starting Compensation:
34.00 - 36.00 USD Per Hour
Working Location:
Bakersfield, CA
Working Hours/Shift:
On Call Coverage As Needed: M-F 8am-430pm *Must be able to provide at least 4 days of On Call Availability per month.

What you bring to SBHG:
Master's degree in social work, marriage & family therapy, or psychology from an accredited college or university required.
Licensed as AMFT, ACSW, APCC, LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC required.
(1) year direct service experience with emotionally disturbed adolescents in a healthcare setting required (student internship and/or practicum time may be substituted).
Experience working in an inpatient acute setting preferred.
How you will make a difference:
Prepares a comprehensive written psychosocial evaluation and assessment for admitted clients.
Participates in treatment team meetings and is responsible for a coordinated treatment plan for each client.
Provides individual and family psychotherapy.
Responsible for permanency planning including assessing client's readiness for discharge; coordinating and planning with treatment team; making appropriate referrals for placement, case management and aftercare services; and coordinating benefits with Business Office personnel.
Prepares and submits client documentation in EMR according to specified timelines.
Provides consultation as needed with families on issues regarding admission, discharge, and aftercare plans.
Coordinates client intake, treatment, and discharge actions with county partners.

24/7 inpatient involuntary program
16-bed facility for acute youth (ages 5-17)
Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans
Available for contracting Central Valley counties
Moves clients through five phases: admission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare
