BLS CPR/First Aid certification from persons qualified by agencies including but not limited to the American Red Cross Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age How you will make a difference: The Mental Health Specialist assesses clients at the start of engagement/treatment and as needed, develops and maintains treatment plans, and conducts family collateral and discharge planning. Division/Program Overview: The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is a voluntary facility available 24/7 in an unlocked setting, with stays of up to 23 hours. It provides rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention for all age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, needing immediate crisis mental health services. The center offers crucial services for immediate crisis intervention and stabilization. Individuals admitted to the crisis stabilization unit receive support and services to ensure a safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community.
