Families First of Palm Beach County is seeking a licensed mental health clinician (LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) to serve children and families in South Palm Beach County.
Consideration will be given to a registered intern actively seeking licensure.
This position will be co-located at the Achievement Centers for Children and Families (ACCF) in Delray Beach, Florida.
Must have an ability to conduct in-school and in home based consultations, therapy and must be able to work as a team with ACCF staff and school personnel.
Requires some evenings and/or weekends.
Experience working with children and families, where there are mental health, developmental and/or behavioral issues, and have knowledge of and ability to administer assessments (i.e.: CFARS, PSC-17). Bilingual English/Creole, English/Spanish preferred (must be able to conduct therapeutic services in Creole or Spanish). VIEW JOBS 12/5/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-05T00:00 Description Job Summary MUST BE FLORIDA CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT PRN 12 HOUR SHIFTS This position provides ongoing assistance and Mental Health care based on the organization's goals, objectives, aims, and philosophy according to contractual requirements. Essential Function: * Thoroughly and accurately documents all encounters in the patient's medical record. * Performs necessary unit rounds each shift or as needed. * Performs mental health unit tasks as requested. * Prepares patients for nurse and doctor sick call by taking vital signs and weights. * Maintains a good working relationship with correctional personnel, nursing staff, and physicians. * Performs office duties such as answering phone calls, pulling medical records, etc. * Assists in emergency situations. * Certification to conduct blood draws, blood sugar finger sticks, and urinalysis is preferable. * Will adhere to Armor's Standards of Professional Conduct, and will incorporate and/or be supportive of Armor's four core FISH! Philosophies – i.e. Play, Be There, Make Their Day and Choose Your Attitude. * Respond to requests from Security Staff as well as Armor Staff in accordance with Armor and Facility Guidelines. This includes following the rules and regulations for employee conduct/behavior and chain of command set forth by the command staff at all times while working within the detention/correctional facility. * Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required * Submit a copy of license and/or certificate at the time of hire and must be maintained on file at the institution where services are rendered at all times. * Good verbal and written communication. Ability to write coherent sentences and develop general written summaries. * Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department. Education and Experience Requirements * High school diploma or equivalent. * Nursing Assistant certification is preferred. * Three (3) years' experience as a Mental Health Technician or equivalent. * First aid and CPR certified. * Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred. * Other relevant professional experiences or educational backgrounds will be considered as deemed appropriate. However, when licensure is required by local, state, federal or contractual guidelines, we will not alter our position on those requirements. Working Conditions and Physical Effort (With or without the aid of mechanical devices) * Work is normally performed in an office work environment. * No or very limited physical effort required. * No or limited exposure to physical risk.
