Benson Heights in Kent is seeking a Behavior Health Technician to Join Our Team!

Minimum pay - $25/hr Maximum pay -$29.01/hr

The Behavior Health Technician provides the focus on providing care as established in the mental health care plan.

Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide care and behavioral services to assigned residents, including (but not limited to) one to one interventions and implementing established clinical care plans.

• Work collaboratively and cooperatively with the interdisciplinary team to create and maintain a respectful and therapeutic environment.

• Assist residents and families with adjustment to changes, including room changes. Assist families with engraving or marking resident personal items.

• Participate in resident care conferences and reviews as needed.

• Assist in crisis intervention as needed.

• Assist residents to maximize functional living skills.

• Assist with resident therapeutic groups and recreational activities as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.

• Three years' experience providing care for individuals with chronic mental health issues, dementia, or intellectual and developmental disabilities in a long term care or behavioral health care setting.

• Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
