The main responsibility of this position is to provide excellent service and engagement to members, potential members and internal customers. The Member Services Liaison will support the membership application process, monitor and communicate with members regarding eligibility criteria for various membership categories as well as benefits of membership, and maintain comprehensive and accurate information for members and prospective members in AACRs membership database.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Processes and tracks membership application submissions, including reinstatements and transfers, ensuring that all supporting documents have been included.
Works closely with Membership Development team to ensure that membership applications submitted in response to promotion campaigns are completed as directed.
Performs heavy, deadline driven data entry.
Enters, monitors and maintains accurate and comprehensive information for members, which include: address, demographic information, scientific areas of research, and other appropriate information in the membership database.
Monitors and corresponds with members regarding their eligibility for specific membership categories.
Collaborates with Data Operations team to ensure that all changes to member and nonmember records have been accounted for and reviewed; works to maintain the integrity of the database system of record.
Drafts and produces correspondence, email and website content, reports, documents, etc.
Provides excellent written & oral communications with existing members and potential members.
Assists in the coordination and execution of mass mailings and mail merges.
Supports Manager and Director in a wide range of clerical and administrative tasks related to membership.
Works with the Manager to organize and maintain files and other relevant documents in an organized and timely manner.
Performs the essential functions of the position, and other duties as may be assigned by the Manager or Director.
3-5 years of related experience, preferably in a non-profit or high volume environment
Exceptional customer service and verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to meet frequent deadlines and work well under pressure.
Ability to prioritize, follow through on multiple tasks, and to work efficiently independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Proficient in MS Office with strong knowledge of Excel.
