Responsible for expanding and deepening the Fifth Third customer base by calling on businesses to provide our Membership Advantage

program to employees. Manages a portfolio of Membership Advantage businesses to

ensureretentionandexpansion of existing relationships. Services customer needs

(directly or indirectly) in a professional manner. Through interaction with senior leadership at businesses, identifies new business and cross-sell

. Calls on and partners with companies/organizations (at the

Middle Market level and above) in offering the Membership Advantage program to

its employees/members.

. Professionally presents Fifth Third products and

services at employer/employee on-site meetings/seminars focusing on household

acquisition and revenue growth.

. Conducts financial education seminars to all

levels of employees on topics such as home ownership, insurance, investments and

personal credit.

. Serves as the company's/organization's ongoing relationship manager once a MA partnership is secured and manages a portfolio of MA


. Partners with Commercial, Business Banking, and other LOBs to develop MA partnerships.

. Independently on boards new companies/organizations to the BOB by proactively calling on Bank prospects/clients (Business Banking/Commercial).

. Utilizes the Consultative Sales Process in uncovering employer financial service needs.. Coaches and mentors Financial Center teams to develop Membership Advantage partnerships and

deliver presentations to clients below Middle Market.

. Develops detailed plans to meet or exceed assigned sales and customer service goals.

. Performs community outreach activities to expand portfolio (e.g. local events, chamber of


. Responsible for completing all training on schedule including small business sales, prospecting, networking and product knowledge.




. College degree or equivalent

experience that will provide for the presentation of a strong business acumen.

. Minimum 3 years prior sales experience in a goal and/or commission-based environment.

. Proven ability to build new and existing client business and provide a positive client experience. Financial industry experience and

knowledge of personal and business financial offerings preferred.

. Effective communication in written, verbal, and presentation formats including the ability to communicate financial concepts to various audiences.

. Organizational, problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

. Self-discipline and self-motivation.

. Ability to understand retail policies and procedures in order to utilize good judgment in making sound decisions.

. Ability to present a professional image to

the public.

. Computer skills such as MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word,PowerPoint, etc.).

. This position requires SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System ("NMLS").

The incumbent will have extensive knowledge and experience workingwithhighrevenue,morecomplex relationships. This role is expected to solicit participation in public debt issuance for clients. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Business Development . Work independently to identify and develop profitable new "lead left" client relationships by leveraging centers of influence, existing clients, & referral sources. . Develop and implement a business plan to achieve financial goals and qualitative measures. . Work closely with Fifth Third internal partners to deepen existing relationships and acquire new prospective relationships. . Attend community and/or specific industry forums, conferences and/or meetings in order to broaden relationship networks, referral sources and continually deepen knowledge of trends, practices, services and the competitive landscape Portfolio Management . Work with product partners (Treasury Mgmt., Capital Markets, and Wealth Mgmt etc.) analyze, evaluate and develop a tailored relationship strategy for each client or prospect. Ensure that customer relationships are managed tomaximizetheopportunityforthe bank, while taking into account Bank risk and customer needs. Client Experience . Meet with customers on a regular basis to enhance the trusted advisor relationship and ensure business needs are being met . Utilize consultative sells skills, commercial playbook principals and call reporting plans to enhance the client experience . Utilize the Bank's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system for client activity tracking, call reports and pipeline management. Credit Excellence Analyze financial information provided to determine the credit request that should be pursued . Monitor, on an ongoing basis, information concerning customer financial performance, condition, and industry trends to determine that any credit exposure is at an acceptable risk, and priced accordingly. . Partner with Portfolio Managers and Credit Officers on credit requests and adhere to established Portfolio Management guidelines (i.e., delinquencies, documentation preparation, financial statement tracking exceptions, matured loans). SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No formal supervisory responsibilities. Expected to provide guidance to Commercial RM I & II MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED: . Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Accounting) or equivalent work experience preferred . Minimum of 6 years Commercial Banking experience, at least 5 years of sales experience preferred . Formalized commercial credit training or equivalent credit experience required . Underwriting experience preferred . Proven track record of partnership with investment bankers to provide strategic and capital market advice . Proven ability to build new and existing client business translating to increased revenue and provide a positive client experience. . Strong business acumen, to include detailed analysis, review of financial statements and understanding of accounting principles. . Thorough knowledge of Commercial, Treasury Management, and alternative lending and financing options . Ability to assess client needs, drivers of profitability, and corporate/personal life cycle optimizing financial solutions. . Communicates with impact to a group -Understands the audience and adjust communication as is appropriate level of detail for the audience; captures and holds the audience attention . Ability to build strong internal partnerships to provide wholistic solutions for clients business and personal financial goals . Proven track record of identification and understanding of business issues, problems, and opportunities and the ability to create relevant options for addressing problems/opportunities to achieve desirered outcomes . Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills, with particular emphasis on experience in face-to-face negotiations. . Proven ability to work in a team-based sales environment. .
