Job Summary

The Member Services Representative will be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.

  • Handle all front desk related activities including:

  • Answer phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions.

  • Check members into the system.

  • New member sign-up.

  • Take prospective members on tours.

  • Facilitate needed updates to member's accounts.

  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.

  • Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the club.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Customer service background preferred.

  • Basic computer proficiency.

  • A passion for fitness and health.

  • Upbeat and positive attitude!

  • Punctuality and reliability is a must.

  • Exceptional customer service skills; able to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the member's expectations.

  • Strong listener with the ability to empathize and problem solve.

  • Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.

  • High School diploma/GED equivalent required.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Physical Demands

  • Continual standing and walking during shift.

  • Continual talking in person or on the phone during shift.

  • Must be able to occassionally lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Will occasionally encounter toxic chemicals during shift.

Job Concepts The overall job responsibility of the Director of Nursing and Allied Health Student Academic Success is to ensure the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health (CONSAH) students are able to successfully navigate the collegiate experience from pre-admission to graduation. Exuding a professional, positive, can-do attitude to every student. Manages registration, pre-registration, admission activities and processes for CONSAH students and allocation of classrooms and facilities for internal and external customers desiring use of the CONSAH buildings. Conducts advising seminars and gathering up-to-date advising materials for CONSAH faculty and support staff. Supervises CONSAH students' admission, progression, and dismissal processes and issues, including bankruptcies and suspensions and the coordination of annual freshman connection events for CONSAH on the Shreveport campus and CONSAH events on the Natchitoches campus. Coordinates and supervises CONSAH student tutoring and general education courses offered on the Shreveport, Alexandria and Leesville nursing and allied health campuses that meet student learning needs. Establishing professional working relationship with registration and financial aid departments to aid students' navigation through these processes. Supervises the coordinator of nursing and allied health operations, the facilitator of nursing and allied health student academic services, student exam proctors, student tutors, and other student academic services staff. Working in a professional relationship with the coordinator of nursing and allied health student operations to promote student-faculty collegiality, a sense of community, and an excellent academic student experience and works diligently to ensure the student experience for all CONSAH students is a positive, memorable, experience in which the students feel supported by faculty and staff. Performs all job functions in a caring and professional, manner geared toward student-oriented learning. Portrays CONSAH as a college of national imminence. Travels in and out of state with some travel being overnight. Ensures that all current and potential CONSAH students' needs are met in a timely manner to ensure students are provided an exemplary learning experience. Works with all nursing/allied health students regardless of campus location. Articulates a strategic plan for evaluating student satisfaction with undergraduate and graduate nursing and allied health programs and engages in discussions with community leaders, civic organizations, and local business regarding potential student educational experiences. Communicates frequently with the Directors of Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing & Allied Health Programs, Senior Director of Nursing and the Dean of the College of Nursing and School of Allied Health regarding assessments of program/campus/student needs. Ensures that Shreveport campus educational offerings of core courses are congruent with student needs. Supervises the maintenance of student records and files. Guides the process of revision of current campus policies and procedures related to student issues. Serves on college-wide committees and state level committees and boards on behalf of the NSU CON; including committee chair of the student services committee. Represents the College and University positively in interactions with professional and academic groups at local, state and national levels.
