Why You Want to Work Here The Member Services Representative ensures a high standard of customer service for the association’s members and stakeholders, offering support across multiple areas, including responding to customer inquiries, handling membership billing, processing applications, and managing information requests. This role may also serve as a backup for front desk and reception duties when needed, requiring a high level of discretion, independent judgment, and accountability.

By fostering strong relationships within the association and with external partners, the Member Services Representative contributes to membership retention and satisfaction, aligning with the organization’s broader objectives. Responsibilities of the Member Services Representative Act as the primary contact for association members, addressing day-to-day membership issues through phone, email, and other communication channels. Deliver prompt and effective solutions to member concerns, ensuring member satisfaction and fostering loyalty.

Process membership applications and payments across various platforms, updating and maintaining member databases. Serve as a backup receptionist for the association, managing inquiries from both members and non-members and assisting visitors as needed. Coordinate with other departments on membership-related activities and special projects to enhance member engagement.

Handle incoming deliveries and coordinate with vendors as necessary. Qualifications of the Member Services Representative Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field At least two years of experience in a membership organization or customer service role. Experience with membership databases or CRM software.

Background in a call center environment or experience in a membership-driven organization. Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate professionally with members. Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail, data entry accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and within a team setting, balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
