AAA Northern New England is seeking applicants for the position of Branch Member Associate in the Williston, VT Branch.

This position is the first point of member contact in a Branch office. In the Branch Member Associate role, you will greet members and determine the nature of the service required, while educating customers on the added value of a AAA membership through cross-selling services. You will provide travel related materials, assist with maintaining new and existing memberships, and provide sales leads to other departments as appropriate to achieve individual, Branch, and organizational goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent certificate required

  • 2 years of college or related work experience preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate customer service skills to engage and provide legendary service.

  • Ability to navigate Windows, Outlook, Word, and Internet/Intranet

  • Successful completion of a Background check and drug test

Performs other related support duties as requested, such as answering phones, processing mail and assisting customers. Follows procedures and applies intermediate-level administrative skills and insurance knowledge to accomplish both routine and non-routine tasks and duties. Responsibilities: * Reviews, evaluates and categorizes incoming documents verifies information for accuracy/appropriateness and follows up with others for missing or questionable data prepares and assembles documents for additional handling by other associates or for distributing to outside contacts. * Enters and retrieves information of varying complexity using computer systems and applications to update records, obtain information for others and respond independently to most questions and problems. * Uses intermediate skills and business knowledge to prepare insurance forms/documents (identification cards, certificates, endorsements, schedules, etc.), correspondence and process other insurance transactions to provide customer service and support efforts to acquire and retain profitable business. * Performs other related support duties as requested, such as answering phones, processing mail, assisting customers, scanning, photocopying and insurance check processing (e.g., returning-and-canceling checks). * Provides informal guidance to less experienced associates and provides back-up support in the absence of others. Qualifications: * Dependability, attention to detail, ability to follow/interpret procedures, and employ reason to accomplish non-routine tasks and duties. * Intermediate level of skill required to open, create and modify various documents using the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., documents, spreadsheets, e-mail, etc.) and enter/retrieve information using various applications/systems. * Ability to effectively exchange routine and non-routine information verbally and in writing and apply knowledge of the department's policies and procedures. * High school education or equivalent, plus at least 1-2 years of relevant customer service or administrative experience.
