The Tintri File Systems Engineering team is seeking an exceptional development engineer with a passion for solving complex problems to work on state-of-the-art file system technologies. Working on a core technology for Tintri, you will have a major impact on the design, implementation and future of the file system. The ideal candidate is a proactive and hardworking software engineer who wants to take ownership and responsibility for developing best-of-class file system features. This position will require the ability to plan and communicate the big-picture design and architecture, yet also have a passion for detail. Work with a highly skilled engineering team in the design, implementation and support of file system technologies.
Improve scalability and manageability of the file system for distributed virtualized environments.
Maintenance of the existing file system code base.
Design, develop, debug and test new features.
Problem / performance analysis and debugging.
Work with cross-functional teams to support developer and product requirements.
MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills.
Strong programming skills in C/C++.
Industry exposure and knowledge of filesystems and UNIX internals.
Good working knowledge of Linux kernel, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen or KVM), Python.
Comfortable in using various data structures, algorithms and multi-threaded programming.
Experience in file systems architecture, I/O systems, networking, performance analysis, deduplication, replication and associated technologies a plus.
