What You'll Do

  • Proficient in database management and programming

  • Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment

  • Able to program SQL, ORACLE, DEPHI, C++, and Crystal Reports; Siemen's 7 PLC and Intouch-Wonderware

  • Ability to maintain and modify Graphical User Interface Programs (HMI)

  • Through understanding of Level II system interfaces with Level 1 PLC systems, the OWS, HMI's and SAP

  • Proactively seek new automation solutions to improve consistency and efficiency

  • Ability to communicate effectively with appropriate departments/individuals

  • General knowledge of Steel Mill Process

What You'll Need

  • Minimum 2 years of Level II Process Automation experience

  • 2-year degree or extensive military training in a related technical discipline and 4-years of Level II Process Automation experience

  • Steel industry experience is preferred

Your Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline

Work you'll do/Responsibilities * Work with globally distributed QA Automation team leads and QA Automation Engineers * Technical leadership & innovation for QA Automation test strategy * Advance product quality via testing innovations and process improvement * Collaborate with BAs, Architects & Developers in designing testable applications * Efficient delivery of Automation Capabilities via test automation activities * Promote and support implementation of CI/CT/CD pipeline * Develop & extend test automation frameworks for UI, Micro services & API * Resolve technical issues, anticipate risks and ensure timely management escalation * Work with Test Capabilities Engineers to leverage existing assets and develop new ones * Analysis, optimization, improvement & maintenance of current test automation suites * Work with stakeholders to plan, estimate & implement test automation * Ensure compliance to automation framework, standards & best practices * Facilitate automated, on-demand test automation metrics * Conduct test design reviews * Seek stakeholder feedback via test automation demos The Team The Core Technology Operations Offering delivers large scale software applications and integrated systems and assists its clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. The practice aims at developing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems. It would focus on key client issues that impact the core business by delivering operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Qualifications Required * Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline or equivalent experience * 5+ years of software engineering & testing experience * Familiarity with automation lifecycle and experience with 2 different programming languages * Experience in multi-tiered, complex system design & architecture * Excellent technical troubleshooting and problem solving skills * Positive & adaptable; Multi-task in a continually changing environment * Proven interpersonal and communication skills with technical & business partners * Aptitude for understanding large, complex, multi-tiered enterprise architecture * Good knowledge of SDLC BDD and Agile practices * Proficiency in test data and environment management * Understanding and attitude to adapt to various technologies such as HTTPS, SFTP, HTML, JSP, XML, JSON, CSS, MQ * Experience defining test methodology, test metrics, and test reporting mechanisms * Specflow, C# Automation experience of minimum 2 years * C# based API Automation of minimum 1 years * Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve * Limited Sponsorship may be available * The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
