The Meeting Planning and Training Specialist (MPTS) supports the Training and Commercial (Sales and Operations) Organization in achieving sales targets by driving standardized processes. The MPTS role is responsible for supporting new hire training, the Commercial Learning Center and meeting planning. The MPTS acts as the primary contact for the national network of National Training Directors, National Training Managers, and Regional Trainers all part of the Commercial Learning Center. The MPTS is the primary contact/lead for new hire training related vendor contract management to include hotels, logistics, shuttles, etc. Specific to new hire training, the MPTS is responsible for scheduling and printing, agendas, name tags, tent cards, training binders, certificates, graduation books, etc. The MPTS is responsible for all representative communications including invitations and welcome letters to new hire training attendees. The MPTS is also responsible for management of ancillary training meetings throughout the year.
The candidate will provide support and training to the sales organization on a variety of levels.
Superior problem solving, time management, administrative, and organizational skills are essential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Project management: Commercial Training and Sales processes and technologies.
Management of all hotel logistics (to include, but not limited to: rooming lists, menus, audio/visual orders, etc.)
Management of all budgets for New Hire Training classroom training.
Ensure communication throughout the Commercial Organization regarding Sales technologies, initiatives and on-boarding changes.
Coordination and refinement of sales training effectiveness processes to be in alignment with company standards.
Partner with other Commercial Learning Center staff in the design and delivery of other training solutions.
Create user documentation and online checklists to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Create surveys (Survey Monkey) for Commercial Operations.
Works as a liaison with IT support staff to ensure testing, implementation, support, and security is in place and effective for new/existing applications and technologies.
Works as a liaison with contracted training venues [to include but not limited to: labs, hotels]
Support Sales Operations team in planning and execution of overall strategy and day-to-day responsibilities.
Manages updates/changes to all Commercial distribution lists.
Manage other projects/responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Requires extensive travel and overnight stays for training and/or meetings
Bachelor's Degree Required
Minimum 2-5 years' experience supporting computer technology, and Sales or Marketing professionals
Past experience in a Training environment
Project Management experience
Working knowledge of Smartphone and wireless technology
Proven ability to work independently in a cross-functional, matrix environment and collaborate with multiple levels and functions in the organization
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, take direction from several sources and successfully prioritize and deliver results
Must be PC proficient, including familiarity with Microsoft products
Superior verbal and written communications skills across varying levels
Analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot software inquiries
Proven success managing multiple projects and priorities for numerous customers at varying levels
Strong experience in data analysis
Expert proficiency in the use of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office products (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Survey Monkey) and InDesign
Expert proficiency in knowledge of Internet, Intranet, Webex and Smartphone applications
Structured problem solving and analysis skills
Superior time management skills
Must have the potential to move into a more senior role
