Meetings and Events is responsible for the development, planning and implementation of internal and external meetings, events, and trade shows aligned with strategic business and brand objectives.

Sr. Meeting & Events Coordinator

How you will contribute to Cardinal Health in this position

This position will:

  • Work closely with Meeting Managers, Pharmaceutical clients and Healthcare Professional partners, assisting in the successful execution of summits, advisory board and other similar activities Demonstrates knowledge of meeting planning and project management practices.

  • Supports a professional environment while under pressure and multi-tasking

  • Assists in the implementation of meetings and events under close supervision to achieve business and brand objectives

  • Supports meeting and event management procedures within budget under close direction

  • Supports post-meeting close out activities

  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Utilizes software to track registration, budgets, logistics and other information for meetings & events.

  • Translates the goals and objectives of meetings and events into a positive and effective experience.


  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.

  • 4+ years' experience in related field, corporate events preferred.

  • CVENT experience preferred.

  • Experience with pharmaceutical meetings preferred.

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks and projects

  • Develops technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Solutions are innovative and consistent with organization objectives

  • Completes work independently receives general guidance on new projects

  • Work reviewed for purpose of meeting objectives


  • Support meeting managers both pre-meeting, onsite, post-meeting

  • Participate in internal and external meetings on weekly basis

  • Manage Summit and meeting packing including print, pack and ship meeting supplies and meeting materials needed for meeting

  • Assist in Summit onsite registration desk duties as assigned

  • Scan meeting materials and save on the shared drive

  • Onsite exhibit contact and package tracking as assigned

  • Support or facilitate In-Practice Programs and Web Conferences

  • Plan and execute meetings per customer and compliance guidelines, ensuring costs stay within budget

  • Confirm and contract venues, coordinate audio visual arrangements, and manage graphic orders for all programs.

  • Create meetings in CVENT and Salesforce for registration and tracking purposes.

  • Develop and execute all on-site materials per Meeting Managers instructions, including sign in sheets, participant lists, evaluations, and reimbursement forms.

  • Assist in coordination of all meeting logistics, including working with the internal travel coordinator, account manager and recruiting team.

  • Manage attendee correspondence, including reminders, confirmations and personalized agendas.

  • Assist when needed with the honoraria and expense reimbursement process, including collecting contracts and W9s and monitoring compliance to all guidelines.

Job Summary Prepare sales-related documents throughout the sales process (e.g., proposals, contracts, or banquet event orders). Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally.
