• Floor 5 Job Duration: 13-week assignment Shift: 12-hour Nights (7 PM - 7 AM), weekends as needed Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience License: Yes, required Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association) Must-Have:

• Ability to read and interpret telemetry

• Willingness to learn and ask questions Job Description:

• Provide quality care on a 35-bed Medical Surgical unit.

• Handle Ratios generally 1:5, with some specialties requiring 1:4.

• Care for patients with common diagnoses such as: - Orthopedic surgeries (total joints, fractures) - ENT surgeries (thyroid, neck dissections, facial reconstructions) - Trauma, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD.

• Maintain high standards for pediatric overflow patients.

• Address epilepsy patient care on designated beds with video monitoring.

• Collaborate with the charge nurse and assistant managers, who provide ongoing support.

• Handle high-flow oxygen and CPAP/BiPAP equipment as required.

• Flexibility to float to similar units and other locations, maintaining a focus on MedSurg.

• Adhere to professional dress codes ensuring clean and appropriate appearance.

• Be prepared for 24-hours orientation, with dedicated educator support.

• Participate in schedule filling based on needs, including occasional weekends and holidays.
