Startinf salary: $21.00 per hour

We are currently seeking an outstanding Quality of Life Specialist/Resident Assistant to join our team.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Perform various resident care activities and related nonprofessional services essential to caring for personal needs and comfort of residents. The Medication Assistant administers medications as prescribed by the physician, documents the administration, the medication effectiveness, and any noted adverse reactions or side effects under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 1. Assist residents as assigned with a high quality of medication administration assistance per individual Care Plan/ISP as directed by physician orders. 2.

Assist with personal care, including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, shaving, incontinent care, foot care, vital signs, height and weight checks per policy (where applicable). 3. Make beds as needed in A.M., turn down as needed in P.M., strip beds once each week or PRN (where applicable). 4. Do all personal laundry on resident's first scheduled shower day (where applicable). 5.

Do all linens per shift (where applicable). 6. Assist residents with meal time, cut food, encourage to eat, feed when needed (where applicable). 7. Utilize on an on-going basis each day all aspects of special programs offered in Heartfelt Connections Program (where applicable). 8.

Maintain calm atmosphere at all times. 9. Keep kitchen, work station, laundry room, and bathroom and common areas neat and clean 10. Follow through with all assignments on a timely basis in accordance to chain of command. 11.

Report to Director of Health Services and/or LPN-LVN-Care Partner all unusual behavior of resident (changing of status) or refusal of medications. 12. Provide activities as planned and/or directed (where applicable). 13. Document resident status as per policy. 14.

Respond to all call lights and emergencies in a timely manner. 15. Provide emergency care within scope of practice. 16. Supports creating a culture where the business decisions made in this position, along with individual employee engagement, drive top-line revenue and occupancy.

Observe all community safety policies and procedures. 12. Is observant of safety hazards and emergency situations, and reports to appropriate person or takes corrective action according to established procedures. 13.

Come to work in a clean, neat uniform and consistently present an appropriate professional appearance. 14. Come to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrate dependability and punctuality, complies with attendance policy. 15. Assume accountability for data contained in the employee handbook. 16.

Assumes accountability for compliance with Federal, State, and other regulations within scope of control and of which informed. 17. Observe infection control procedures. 18. Follow Residents' Rights policies at all times. 19.

Observe all community policies and procedures. 20. Accept assigned duties, instructions or correction in a cooperative manner, voicing concerns or disagreement in a professional manner through established chain of authority according to state procedures. 21. Perform incidental housekeeping and maintenance tasks as may arise during the course of regular duties, in order to maintain a clean, safe, pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff. 22. Perform all other related duties as assigned in an effective, timely and professional manner.

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred One (1) year experience working as HHA/CNA/PCA/RA preferred One (1) year experience working in Assisted Living or Health Care preferred LICENSE/CERTIFICATION OR OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Medication Assistance Certification (where applicable) Willingness to be available for any/all emergencies regarding the community Doctor's statement verifying free from communicable disease

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ability to speak, read and comprehend the English language Knowledge in all areas of local Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies relevant to healthcare services Good communication skills (oral and written) Good inter-department communication and teamwork skills Capable of administering employee incentive, retention and training programs Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products Job Description
