A GoHealth Captive Engager will assist in transferring individuals who've requested more information on Medicare plans and additional benefits to a live agent for more detailed explanation of benefits with the ultimate goal of closing qualified leads.

The Engager will be responsible for making outbound calls and fielding some inbound calls to our Captive sales center, while conducting initial qualifications of leads based on a brief discussion over the phone.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, has a friendly can-do attitude, is a fast learner, and can be trusted to provide outstanding customer service in a call center environment. We are looking for individuals who are professional and can connect with others and make great first impressions over the phone.

Responsibilities

  • Screen inbound and outbound Medicare focused calls (primarily outbound) for individuals seeking health insurance plans and products in order to transfer those individuals to a GoHealth licensed agent

  • Initiate rapport, set the expectations of the call, and warm transfer qualified individuals to the proper department

  • Remain professional, polite, and composed throughout all customer interactions, in order to drive increased transfers

  • Understand and perform to certain performance metrics, including transfer rate and other more qualitative metrics

  • Learn and adapt quickly, while following GoHealth's internal policies and procedures

  • Provide an excellent consumer experience for all callers, and be passionate about helping the aging and disabled community

  • Comply with Federal CMS and State legal requirements and standards

  • Successfully complete all Engager training requirements

  • Be the "Face of GoHealth" at the consumer level, and serve as a brand ambassador for the organization

Qualifications

  • Friendly demeanor and engages in conversation

  • Ability to make an instant connection over the phone with consumers seeking health insurance

  • Previous call center / telemarketing experience preferred, but not required. If you're professional and composed, we can teach you how to perform in a call center / sales environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to demonstrate outstanding customer service

  • Computer proficiency, including the Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, with both consumers and co-workers

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting, and performance-driven environment

  • Ability to understand basic performance metrics and how individual performance & goals correlate to overall team performance & goals

  • High-school degree required. Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred, but not required

Your time will consist of various Accounts Receivable related tasks such as processing sales and completing bill runs. You will work with members of our award winning sales team to successfully transition customers to become clients by correctly completing their billing set-up.
