Medicare Billing Specialist

Join our team! Tara Cares, a long-term care support company located in Orchard Park, is currently seeking a Full Time Medicare Billing Specialist. Preferred candidate should be able to handle multiple priorities, be comfortable speaking with Medicare representatives on the phone, reviewing EOBs, denials, and notifying clinical staff of necessary appeals. Position deals with various levels of management and facility staff. Assist Executive Directors and Business Office Managers in reaching their A/R goals! Qualified candidates must be well organized, able to handle multiple deadlines and have 3-5 years of experience working with long-term care Billing. Experience with PCC software a plus! Duties:

• Billing Medicare part A and B, Non-Covered claims

• Posting cash received and following up on denials and/or Medicare internal take backs

• Account analysis

• Following up monthly on the status of all open accounts by facility

• Denial notification to facility staff and maintaining tracking system of status

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• 3-5 Years Billing Experience

• Proven reliability and proven great attendance

• Well organized, pay attention to detail & able to handle multiple deadlines/tasks

• Daily use of Microsoft Office products

• Ability to work occasional overtime, either evenings or weekends when necessary
