JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operations

Work in collaboration with the MVS Director to deliver quality proposals, operating plans and contracts. Oversee implementation of new MVS business in collaboration with appropriate Director and leadership. Set goals and deliver on expectations tied to strategic planning and related efforts. Positively and professionally represent MVS externally to increase MVS awareness and client satisfaction. Primary point-of-contact for daily operations, standard operating procedures, staff training/competency, and overall program performance

  • Compliance

Provide general oversight and expertise of systems and processes utilized by all MVS clients to manage medical information requests, adverse event, and product quality complaints. Ensure and facilitate development of MVS staff training and development with regard to systems and technology. Utilizes this expertise to facilitate procedural and system improvements. Develop MVS technology strategy and planning and participate in annual budgeting process. Responsible for ensuring compliance with performance, regulatory and quality standards are routinely met. Proactively identifies issues, trends and solutions as needed to ensure overall Client satisfaction. Identifies and adopts best practices across the industry.

  • Process

Proactively work with directors, managers and staff to ensure efficient operations and quality outcomes in the delivery of pharmacovigilance, medical information and contact center services across all MVS clients. Develop, maintain and manage systems and workflow processes in support of the pharmacovigilance and medical communications functions. Develop strategies to ensure appropriate staffing, training and oversight in the delivery of quality outcomes to all MVS customers. Develop, administer and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures pertaining to services. Collaborate closely with all MVS customers and staff to ensure service level expectations for quality and efficiency are routinely met and that overall customer satisfaction is high. Foster and support a culture of continuous quality improvement for contact center operations. Manage the development of guidelines and SOPs to ensure quality in daily contact center operations. Develop, oversee and monitor key outcomes and service level/process metrics to ensure expectations for quality, efficiency and costs are met. Proactively identify issues, trends and solutions as needed. Publishes research and related manuscripts with advanced analytical and technical writing experience.

  • Analytics

Analyze overall and client-specific contact center data and assure the delivery of accurate and timely metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to clients and internal stakeholders. Proactively identify issues, trends and solutions. Provide general operational oversight of MVS quality monitoring program. Demonstrate through work, thorough knowledge of client SOPs and guidelines governing pharmacovigilance and medical information. Brings specialized depth or breadth of expertise to discipline; breadth of knowledge in related job areas.

  • Delivery

Assure the delivery and maintenance of high quality pharmacovigilance and medical communications support to specific and assigned MVS clients. Lead the design, implementation and daily oversight of assigned MVS client programs, including day-to-day operations, quality, compliance, training, and metrics. Leads cross functional projects or people, often of risk and complexity. Interprets / addresses business challenges; develops best practices. Works independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.

Job Functions:

  • Responsible for management of all projects for assigned clients ensuring that deliverable meets operational excellence standards (KPIs, on budget, on time, error-free, on strategy, and within all relevant policies and guidelines

  • Maintain robust product, client, and regulation knowledge and serve as product Subject Matter Expert

  • Experience participating in pharmacovigilance and device audits and inspections.

  • Leads efforts in proactively creating and updating Standard Response Documents and Frequently Asked Questions to ensure MI documents remain up to date with accurate, evidence-based, and balanced medical information

  • Communicates and/or provides relevant medical information in response to unsolicited inquiries received from HCPs in a compliant manner

  • Conducts prompt execution on researching and developing Custom Response Documents for escalated medical inquiries

  • Assist with Call Center management, including phone shifts, on-going training and coaching to provide excellent customer service

  • Participate, as needed, in projects/initiatives across department and collaborate with various internal colleagues across all levels for various projects

  • Schedule and lead internal and external project team meetings

  • Prepare agendas, presentation materials, and meeting minutes;

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Required:

  • Bachelor degree in related field. May require clinical license, certification or training
  • 5 - 7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • RN or PharmD

Preferred:

  • Exceptionally strong medical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience with searching and evaluating published medical and scientific literature

  • Outstanding work ethic and integrity of the highest standard

  • Must possess a thorough understanding of guidelines, laws and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry and its customers

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with some drug or medical information experience
