We want you on our team...Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, an 18 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a Medical Technologist (MT), Accredited to join our Laboratory Department. This is full-time, night shift, weekdays only position collecting specimens and performing laboratory testing in all areas of the clinical laboratory to aid providers in the diagnosis and/or monitoring of various disease states.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:
Performs order entry, phlebotomies, and collects other specimens such as urine drug screens when necessary
Performs laboratory testing in all areas of the laboratory to include Hematology, Urinalysis, Serology, Coagulation, Immunohematology, Microbiology, and Chemistry
Performs routine maintenance tasks as designated for laboratory analyzers in all areas of the clinical laboratory
Performs calibrations and quality control when required and is responsible for verifying the integrity of such testing
Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary
Performs proficiency testing and linearity testing as assigned to maintain accrediting body compliance
Assist in keeping policy and procedure manuals up to date
Assists in keeping supplies at adequate levels by completing weekly departmental inventories
Participates in hospital wide and departmental performance improvement activities
Requires critical thinking skills, detail oriented with decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Must be flexible with work location assignments
