Medical Technologist II

Lighthouse Lab Services has partnered with a top healthcare facility in North Carolina, and we are seeking an experienced Medical Lab Technologist II to join the team on the weekend shift.

Position Overview:
The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs routine and specialized laboratory tests and other procedures for use in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Utilizes requisite equipment instruments and computer systems. Evaluates and reports patient results using considerable independent judgment within the scope of established testing methods. Performs quality control procedures and contributes to the maintenance of the laboratory equipment and supplies. Assists in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation. May assume responsibility for one or more laboratory projects or functions such as performance improvement safety quality control regulatory administrative staff development and computer systems. Trains new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures and serves as a resource for less experienced staff. Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

• 2 Years in Clinical Laboratory with moderate and high complexity testing preferred

Education Required:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology required

Licensure/Certification Requirements:

• ASCP Or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Preferred

Hours of Work:

• Friday, Saturday Sunday 6:30 pm - 6:30 am
