Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related required.

Job Summary:
Performs manual and automated routine blood and body fluid tests in the clinical laboratory.

Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks, and may perform phlebotomy.

May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology. ASCP Certification or equivalent recommended.

Is a member of the Governing Body and attends quarterly meetings. * Provides supervision to mid-level practitioners (physician assistants) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. * Has a patient case load which includes medication management, diagnosis, psychiatric assessment, progress notes and treatment planning. * Is assigned after-hours call in a rotation with other medical staff to address medical and psychiatric needs of patients. * Provides scoring and assessments for sex offenders regarding level achievement. * Provides expert testimony at Mental Health Board Hearings as assigned.
