We are seeking a MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST OR MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN in Laurium, Michigan to work at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital. This position conducts laboratory testing on patient specimens including: chemical and hematological testing of blood or body fluids, and microbiological cultures of various body sites.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
Board of Registry Certification as MT or MLT (ASCP, AMT, AD) or CS (NCA) eligible; must receive certification within one year.
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
Understanding and tactful with patients, visitors and co-workers.
Has the ability to handle pressure and stress with composure and emotional stability.
Personally committed to strive for excellence in quality of laboratory service provided.

Able to make decisions dependent on an in-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques, principles, instruments and their inter-relationship
Hours: This position is occasional/ as needed. Retirement plan available.
