Independently perform all laboratory procedures supporting sample processing and operations for clinical pathology within the Bioanalytical Services Department.
We are seeking a Medical Technologist 3 for our Safety Assessment site located Shrewsbury, MA.
The following are responsibilities related to the Medical Technologist 3:
Perform clinical chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, and all other complex laboratory analyses and supporting laboratory functions.
Perform testing based on protocol, in compliance with SOPs and applicable regulatory practices.
Independently interpret and document test results. Identify sample abnormalities. Identify equipment malfunctions, and perform higher-level troubleshooting to maintain instruments/equipment.
Maintain all records fo activities as required by SOPs, applicable regulatory practices, company safety policies and practices.
Perform data entry and handling, and data quality checking.
Act as Clinical Pathology representative at study-related meetings.
Train and/or mentor junior staff.
Perform other related duties as required.
The following are minimum qualifications related to the Medical Technologist 3 position:
Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a related life science discipline with an emphasis on medical technology.
Experience: 5+ years experience in a clinical pathology laboratory.
Certification/Licensure: MT certification required.
Other: Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Computer proficiency. Ability to follow directions and standard operating procedures.
