The Medical Technician will provide first-aid treatment to employees and management as necessary. This individual will perform preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and urinalysis for drug testing.
Provide first-aid treatment to employees who become ill or injured, assessing the need for further medical attention.
Perform drug testing following standard operating procedure, chain-of-custody procedure and Ashley's Substance Abuse Manual.
Maintain appropriate injury documentation. Complete on-site shop floor injury follow-ups with employees with work related injuries.
Train employees regarding blood borne pathogens and First-Aid CPR, AED.
Coordinate and administer the hearing conservation program.
Associate degree in Medical Emergency services or related field or equivalent work experience, Required
3 years in emergency medicine, Required
Manufacturing environment, Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Blood borne pathogens
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Effective interpersonal communication skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Effective time management and organizational skills
Document Management System
Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement Tools
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, internet
Handle multiple projects simultaneously within established time constraints
Respond professionally in employee inquiry situations
