The Assistant Nurse Manager class consists of a variety of supervisory nursing positions in specialty areas. Positions in this class provide nursing care to patients in the specialty area. They also develop appropriate policies and procedures to ensure the smooth functioning of the assigned unit. Santa Clara Valley Medical Center is currently recruiting for an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Critical Care/Trauma Intensive Care Unit. The eligible list will be used for future ANM positions as they become available. The County of Santa Clara owns and operates a Hospitals and Clinics System that includes Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, O'Connor Hospital, and St. Louise Regional Hospital. The hospitals and clinics are operated by the County under a consolidated license from the California Department of Public Health. The Hospitals and Clinics Delivery System is part of the broader County of Santa Clara Health System. Better Health for All! Santa Clara Valley Medical Center - 731 bed tertiary level acute care hospital provides the highest level of adult and pediatric emergency medical and trauma services, a regional high risk Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, an ACS-verified Burn Trauma Center, a Primary Stroke Center, a CARF-accredited Rehabilitation Center, emergency and acute inpatient psychiatric services, as well as a range of other specialized services - in some cases the only such treatment in the region. Santa Clara Valley Health Centers - VHCs offer a wide variety of services, including adult and children's urgent care, family medicine, Ob/Gyn, pediatrics, lab, radiology/diagnostic imaging, convenient on-site pharmacy, and more. Santa Clara Valley Specialty Center - The six level Valley Specialty Center brings together many of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center's adult outpatient specialty services. It is also home to laboratory services and the outpatient pharmacy. Patient education, financial counseling and many diagnostic imaging services are also provided in this building. Employment Standards Graduate of an approved nursing program (preferably BSN), currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in California and sufficient education and experience which demonstrate possession of the qualifications necessary to successfully perform the typical tasks noted above.
