In this role you will:

  • Determine health status and needs of patients through interpretation of health data and preventive practice in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary health care team members.

  • Utilize a systematic approach to provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care

  • Formulate a nursing care plan based on determination of nursing diagnoses and identified problems

  • Implement nursing care within the scope of practice

  • Develop and implement teaching plans for patients concerning promotion, maintenance and restoration of health

  • Provide for the care of multiple patients either through direct care or assignment and/or delegation of care to other members of the healthcare team

  • Evaluate the patient's responses and outcomes to therapeutic interventions

  • Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license

  • Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS provider

  • ADN required; BSN will be required within 24 months of hire

Medical City Children's Hospital, a part of Medical City Dallas, is a 181-bed comprehensive and specialized children's hospital providing advanced pediatric health care for young patients of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. Pediatric specialties at Medical City Children's Hospital include pediatric emergency services, care for congenital heart conditions, pediatric cancer care (hematology and oncology), pediatric orthopedics, neurosurgery, craniofacial surgery, pediatric transplant and kidney care, and a Level IV NICU — the highest level of NICU care available in Dallas. Education/Experience Required: * Bachelor's Degree of Nursing required * Advanced degree, preferred * Minimum of 5 years management experience to include management of personnel, payroll, budgets, capital, business planning, marketing, supervisory positions, and physician relations, preferred.
