The Team Lead in Supply Chain Management, is responsible for oversight of the Medical Support Services team, also known as Equipment Depot. This team plays a crucial role in securely storing, transporting, and cleaning clinical medical equipment, managing patient transport within the hospital, handling respiratory equipment and supply replenishment, and the code cart exchange program. Responsibilities include guiding the team in verifying inbound and outbound medical equipment, managing respiratory equipment calibration and replenishment efforts, and documenting processes. Coordinate maintenance schedules with the BioMed team, offer mentorship, and cultivate a culture of excellence. Supervising equipment, dispatching patient transport, proficiently managing respiratory equipment processes, and effectively delegating tasks are integral parts of the role.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS (60%)

  • Oversee verification of inbound/outbound medical equipment, ensuring adherence to inventory protocols.

  • Lead replenishment and expiration date checks of respiratory and code cart supplies.

  • Document code cart exchange process via KitCheck system prior to deployment, guiding team members.

  • Coordinate and schedule routine and preventative equipment maintenance with the BioMed team, offering mentorship as needed.

  • Conduct quality control checks, preventative care, and cleaning of medical equipment, with a focus on training, development, and ensuring team competencies were completed while onboarding new team members.

  • Assembles, calibrates, performs first-line troubleshooting, and performs quality assurance testing of respiratory equipment to verify proper functioning and ensure patient safety. If unable to troubleshoot, follow guidelines to report malfunctioning equipment.

  • Assist the team in transporting patients to various hospital locations for medical procedures, maintaining a high standard of patient care and safety as needed.

  • Monitor facility-fit system for transport requests, delegate tasks, and ensure timely completion.

PERIODIC OR SECONDARY POSITION FUNCTIONS (40%)

  • Assist manager in creating team members' weekly schedules.

  • Assist in maintaining department records and team members' competencies

  • Supervise dispatch and transportation of specialty equipment between vendor and nursing units, ensuring efficient inventory management.

  • Monitor performance and provide problem-solving assistance as directed.

  • Assist in interviewing and providing new staff orientation, development, and training.

  • Assist in the development of department performance and productivity standards.

  • Provide input for employee evaluations and monthly check-in

  • Attend all department and company meetings as required.

  • Provide superior customer service by communicating clearly, professionally, and in a timely manner during all interactions (internally and externally) with customers, hospital personnel, patients, and visitors.

  • Complete and/or coordinate department projects as assigned.

  • Other duties as assigned due to limited resources and activation of the organization surge

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist the Operations Manager in providing day-to-day operation oversight to the Medical Support Services team members (Equipment Depot).

A high school diploma, GED, or a higher level of education would require the completion of high school. An Associate's degree is strongly preferred. 1 to 3 years relevant experience within a healthcare-specific environment highly desired or equivalent demonstrated knowledge and capability.

Hours of Operation = 7 am - 1930pm and weekend rotation as needed
