Summary:To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.

You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:

Examples include: Respond to inquiries and requests through telephone, correspondence and personal visits. Experience in funds control techniques and monitoring and accounting for funds allotted.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:

Assure funds have been obligated within deadlines, unused obligations are cancelled and re-obligated. Assist in determining patient eligibility. Maintain obligation registers regarding funds for inpatient and outpatient services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks:

Experience in applying policies, procedures, rules and regulations when determining patient eligibility, availability of services and identification of fiscal resources. Manage funds control techniques to account for allotted funds and preparing statements and reports. In addition to meeting the Minimum Qualifications, you must meet the Typing Proficiency Requirement below.

TYPING PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the experience requirements, applicants for these positions must show possession of the following typing skill. Applicants may meet these requirements by passing the appropriate performance test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificates by the Office of Personnel Management local office, or by self-certifying their proficiency.

Performance test results and certificates of proficiency are acceptable for 3 years. Agencies may verify proficiency skills of self-certified applicants by administering the appropriate performance test. Must be able to type at least 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
