About the department:

Sentara Vascular Specialists offer comprehensive vascular and transplant services for all disorders involving the circulatory system, peripheral arteries, and veins. In-office non-invasive vascular testing is available, and our vascular surgeons provide the most advanced techniques in diagnostic angiography, vascular surgery, endovascular interventions, vascular access for chemotherapy and kidney dialysis, and the removal of varicose veins. We also have the Sentara Renal Transplant Unit, enabling our physicians to better meet the needs of renal failure patients with our active transplantation services.

The Residency and Fellowship program coordinator supports providers with a variety of administrative functions to include continuing medical education documentation and submission of continuing medical education (CME), travel, and license and certification dues and applications. Acts as the liaison for residents with partnering universities and educational institutions to ensure student status is appropriately maintained.

Requirements:

  • Previous hospital-based experience supporting physician services preferred.

  • Medical terminology experience preferred.

  • Should be organized, detailed, and have strong service and communication skills.

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

  • 3 years of administrative experience required, preferably within credentialing and hospital administration.

  • Experience in MS office products including intermediate Excel skills are required.

Sentara Vascular Specialists Obtains Prestigious Accreditation

In April of 2019, Sentara Vascular Specialists obtained accreditation from the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission or IAC. The IAC is an accrediting agency that ensures vein and imaging centers adhere to a very high level of quality care for their patients. Sentara Vascular Specialists are the first in Hampton Roads to have all their vein centers accredited.
